Java Errors
Since Java came along about around a decade ago, it has become an integral part of the internet. No matter what sites you visit, you can bet that at least one, if not all of them make use of the Java technology. Java allows sites to have interactive content, such as games. While Java is extremely useful, it is not without its faults. For one, Java occasionally has security gaps. Users of Java also sometimes encounter java errors. We won't talk about the security gaps, but we will tell you how to eliminate those pesky errors.
What's the Problem?
Unfortunately, it is pretty difficult to list every single one of the Java errors a user may encounter. That's because there are quite a few possible errors, ranging from simple issues to fatal errors. By trying the following suggestions, you should be able to fix the errors.
Fixing the Errors
Tip #1: Update Java
Sun (the makers of Java) are constantly working to improve the flaws of Java. As a result, they put out several updates each year. Thus, your current version of Java may become obsolete in just a few months time. When it does, you are more likely to encounter errors. If you are having errors, check to see what version of Java you have and what the current version is. Then, if necessary, update Java.
Tip #2: Clear Temporary Browser History
To help make Java run faster, temporary files are created that remember certain Java programs on a site. So when you visit that site, Java loads quicker because the program is already “there”. However, when there are too many temporary files, it can significantly slow down Java and even cause errors to appear. You should try clearing out your temp files if your PC becomes slow. To do this, you can use either Ccleaner or ATFCleaner. Either of these removes temp files quickly and safely.
Tip #3: Download Anti-Spyware/Anti-Virus
Because of the aforementioned security holes in Java (and no matter how good the programmers at Sun get at creating a safe program, hackers will always find a way to exploit it), many hackers use Java to attack PCs. They do this in the form of spyware and viruses. If your copy of Java has suddenly become extremely slow and neither of the other two tips work, you should try running a complete scan of your PC with a good anti-virus (AVG) and good anti-spyware (Spybot S&D) program.
Tip #4: Re-Install Java
Sometimes none of the above tips work. When that's the case, your last ditch way of fixing Java would be to simply un-install it and then re-install it. In 90+% of the cases, this works.
